is amazing. indeed to pass an exemption, all government trouble is not to be paid for with the tax exemption. amend the code says that anybody traveling for government purposes pays for themselves. that is obama and the $40 million worth of vacations. it is amazing. you heard the caller from georgia a comic that they are angry and they will write. you can see the country is being run by an amateur who does not know how to negotiate, he cannot write something on paper. anybody in college in 101 knows that you need to negotiate in a fair minded way. he is out to ruin the country. listen to his agenda. host: do you think compromise can be reached in the next 48 hours? caller: the answer is no. they want the retina. they are getting the money from the people -- they want the revenue. they are getting the money from the people. the government, in 10 years, in -- they have not cut anything. people are paying additional taxes, they are cutting back on their budgets. the government cannot keep spending money. we need a vacation for michelle and obama. stop that. let's have them pay their o

party. with the reelection of president obama, the slaughter of innocent unborn babies will continue. we have a president who supports partial birth abortion. but the americans made their decision. they want higher taxes, they want the slaughter of babies to continue and i find it's totally -- i am totally disillusioned with the american people for voting this president back into office. host: in new york. democratic caller. caller: i am in favor of religion and politics, because i believe our whole country has been found the on judicial system. the fact you are not to steal or to murder or to do, you know, thou shall not, the 10 commandments, are based upon the religious system. when you go into court, you have to put your hand on the bible to swear to tell the truth and nothing but the truth, so help you god. so absolutely. this is one of the reasons i would like to comment that our country is going to the place where it is now because we are removing those principles, we are removing the principles out of our laws. this is why we are seeing what we are seeing now. host: "the new y

. president obama promised in his campaign to lower the corporate tax rate, which i believe would bring some corporations back to set up their factories of in america and said of china, india, brazil. it just seems like congress and our leaders in general are trying to bring america down equal to the other nations of the world. i believe it is all headed for a one world government. they have to knock america down before they can get us equal with the other countries in the world. we are building the other countries up. it's a cinch to me like our leaders reject i agree with the last caller, there should be term limits. after they are in there so long, their interest is not in helping america. it seems to me like they are positioning for money in their own pockets or they become lobbyists. this secreted a law that they should not be able to become lobbyists for a few years sucker they leave congress or senate. they need to just bring america back up. if it would bring more jobs back to america, then we would have more taxes to be collected. host: more in the financial times this morning.

fiscal cliff is more than just the tax increases that president obama so dearly wants. the effect of the s.g.r. formula means that physicians who treat medicare patients will be forced to limit the number of seniors that they see, fewer patients being seen, doctors forced not to see patients because of foolish washington policy. this jeopardizes health care for millions of folks. the sustainable growth rate, the formula used by medicare to determine physician reimbursement, needs to be repealed. it doesn't work for patients and it doesn't work for doctors. and it's destructive to the very principles that we hold dear about health care. it violates accessibility. it violates quality, and it limits choices, it harms real people. now, there are positive solutions that we're working on so we may responseably reform this broken system, but while we work to put in place a system that actually makes sense, we must provide certainty for patients and their doctors for the new year. . slashing payments to doctors is a terrible idea and it must be stopped. the s.g.r. needs to be patched now

tax cuts. even mr. obama since 2005 when he was running as a senator. i don't know what your thoughts are about that. i would like to hear about the democrats voted to push us off the fiscal cliff. host: how you pick political heroes? caller: this is a republic and want to see going back to what it was. people are getting knocked off of unemployment in states because their rates went down. we go off this cliff, anybody on extended unemployment will not get a check in january. host: this is gary who chooses ben bernanke. beverly is next from vermont. caller: hello/ ? my choice is the teachers of america. i cannot believe that people did not speak up more for the teachers. they do they hurled job practically every day. host: why are they political heroes? caller: who do you think is going to run the country in the future? this is something that people do not understand. our future is our children. nobody seems to care. my choice is the teachers in america. the teachers that were killed the other day, they are true heroes. i cannot believe some of the idiots that you're putting on as her

using a flat tax. that way you can calculate the amount of taxes we need for the deficit over 10 years. another point is to control the spending on entitlements by not giving millionaires social security benefits, thereby satisfying president obama's approach. instead of doing it through taxation, he can do it through the entitlements. guest: those are both ideas that have been raised, especially the social security and medicare benefits for the wealthy and potentially might not need them to live off of. one tricky part of that is wealthier americans have been paying these taxes for decades into social security and medicare if and a lot of folks have a problem with the idea of taking away their benefits they have paid for if just because they happen to be more well off. and issued the first caller raised and something to watch is this could really sort of set the tone for the president's second term. if this thing gets ugly and stays ugly, it's probably going to stay that way at least another year or two expand the next thing you know, he's a lame duck president. if we cut a deal
